Manage Storage Limits and Prevent Disk Space Issues

Set Count and Size Limits

Open the configuration menu with N. Look for storage management options: set a count limit to keep only your most recent backups (e.g., keep only the last 10 saves), and set a maximum storage size cap per world to prevent backups from consuming too much hard drive space. These limits work together to protect your disk.

Monitor Free Disk Space

The mod automatically checks available disk space before starting any new backup. If free space falls below a safe threshold, the backup is skipped and you'll receive a warning. This prevents your hard drive from filling up unexpectedly.

Clean Up Old Saves

Press B to view your backup list. Select old or unnecessary saves and delete them manually to free up space immediately. The mod preserves older base saves only when newer saves still depend on them for differential restoration, so deleting unused backups is safe and won't break your restore chain.
