How to Find Rare Enchantment Books in Structures

Locating High-Value Loot

Rare enchantment books from Enchantology are hidden in specific structures across your world. The rarest books appear in end-game locations, so prepare accordingly before exploring.

Best Structures to Search

Start with Ancient Cities in the Deep Dark biome—these contain some of the most powerful enchantments. Bring plenty of supplies and watch for Wardens. Desert Pyramids and Woodland Mansions also hold valuable books in their chests, and are easier to navigate than Ancient Cities.

End Cities reward exploration with top-tier magical effects. You'll need an Elytra and careful flying to reach them safely.

Search Strategy

Bring a pickaxe, food, and blocks for building. Systematically open every chest you find—enchantment books can appear in multiple locations within the same structure. Use torches to mark chests you've already looted so you don't waste time rechecking.

If you're looking for specific enchantments, consider combining your structure exploration with fishing or using a Sniffer to dig for books in dirt blocks. This gives you multiple chances to find the exact magical effect you need for your gear.
