How to Enchant Items with Modded Enchantments
Modded enchantments are supported
Enchanting Commands does not limit you to vanilla enchantments. Any enchantment registered by another installed mod is available through the same command, which makes it a quick way to test or equip modded gear without grinding for it.
Finding the right name
1. Hold the item in your main hand.
2. Type /ec enchant and press Tab.
The autocomplete list pulls from every enchantment currently loaded, so modded ones appear alongside vanilla ones. Keep pressing Tab to scroll, or start typing part of the name to narrow the list. Select the entry you want, then add the level and press Enter.
Practical tips
- Namespaced IDs matter. Modded enchantments are often registered under a mod-specific identifier. If typing the plain name does not autocomplete, let Tab fill it in for you rather than guessing — the suggestion already contains the correct form.
- Load order and dependencies. If an enchantment from another mod does not show up in the list, that mod may not be loaded, or it may require a dependency that is missing. Check your mod list before assuming the command is broken.
- Test before committing. Modded enchantments can have unusual effects or interactions. Apply one to a spare item first to see how it behaves, then move it to your real gear.
Because the command writes the enchantment directly, you skip anvils, books, and level costs entirely.
