How to Find and Browse Status Effects in EMI with EMIffect
Searching for Effects in the EMI Sidebar
EMEffect registers every status effect in the game as a searchable "phantom item" inside EMI's item sidebar. To find one, open your inventory and click the EMI search bar (or press the EMI search hotkey). Type the name of the effect you want — for example, "Strength" or "Poison" — and the effect will appear as an entry alongside regular items. Phantom items are not real items you can pick up; they exist purely so you can look up information about them.
Reading the Effect Entry
Click the effect entry to open its EMI info page. Here you will see the effect's icon, its name, and any description text that has been provided through language files. If the mod author or another modder has written a description for that effect, it will appear on this page. Effects added by vanilla Minecraft,
Ender IO, and other mods that ship EMIffect-compatible language entries will all be browsable this way. If an effect has no description yet, you will still see the entry but the description area may be empty.
Tips for Browsing
Use the search bar to filter by partial names. You can also browse the EMI index categories to see effects grouped together. This is the fastest way to check what an unfamiliar effect does before you drink a potion or get hit by a mob that applies it.
