How to See Block Drops Including Silk Touch and Shears Variants

Why Block Drops Are Split Up

EMI Loot shows block drops in EMI, and it does not dump them into a single list. Instead, drops are divided into categories based on the circumstances needed to get them. A block broken with a normal tool, the same block broken with Silk Touch, and the same block harvested with Shears can each produce different results, so each situation gets its own category.

Reading the Categories

When you open a block's loot view, look at the category labels. One category covers the standard drop you get from breaking the block normally. Other categories cover tool-specific or enchantment-specific outcomes, such as drops that only appear when Silk Touch is used or when Shears are applied. Hovering an item shows the average count you can expect.

Practical Steps

1. Look up the block in EMI and open its loot entry.

2. Identify which category matches the tool you plan to use.

3. If you want the block itself rather than its normal drop, check whether a Silk Touch category exists.

4. If you want plant or leaf-type resources, check whether a Shears category is listed.

5. Switch tools accordingly before you start harvesting in bulk.

This prevents the frustration of breaking a stack of blocks with the wrong tool and getting nothing useful.
