How to Read Chest Loot Percentages in EMI Loot
Understanding the Percentage Lists
When you open a chest's loot view in EMI, EMI Loot sorts every possible drop by its drop chance. If a chest has many possible items, the mod condenses them into grouped lists where items sharing the same percentage are stacked together. Hover over one of these percentage groups to expand it and see the individual stacks you could actually receive at that probability.
Reading Stack Sizes Correctly
A common mistake is treating the stack size shown next to an item as a guaranteed amount. It is not. The number represents the average item count you can expect to pull per successful roll, calculated before the drop probability is applied. So a group labeled at a low percentage with a large stack size still means you rarely get that drop, but when you do, you tend to get several of them.
Practical Steps
1. Open the chest interface and locate the EMI loot panel.
2. Scan the percentage groups from top to bottom — higher percentages are more common.
3. Hover each group to reveal the specific item stacks inside it.
4. Compare stack sizes across groups to judge which drops are worth farming.
5. Remember that modded loot table entries appear here too, so a chest may show items you did not expect from the vanilla game.
Use this view to decide whether a chest is worth looting repeatedly or whether you should move on to a better structure.
