6 questions players actually ask, answered.
What is the EMI Enchanting Mod?
It is an add-on for the EMI mod that displays extra information about enchantments in the game. It shows details like rarity, tradeability, and max level for enchantment books.
What basic summary info does the mod show for an enchantment?
It shows whether the enchantment is a curse, whether villagers can trade it, and what its maximum level is. This info appears in EMI's interface for the selected enchantment.
How does the Valid Items feature work?
It lists every item that can be enchanted by the currently selected enchantment. Right-clicking on an item shows every enchantment that piece of gear can validly have.
How are enchantment descriptions formatted in this mod?
Descriptions use the same format as the Enchantment Descriptions mod: enchantment.namespace.path.desc. This lets the mod pull description text from language files.
What does the Exclusions feature display?
It lists out the enchantments that conflict with the currently selected enchantment. This helps players see which enchantments cannot be combined.
Does the EMI Enchanting Mod work without the base EMI mod?
No, it is an add-on for EMI and requires EMI to be installed. EMI itself provides item info and crafting help, while this add-on extends it with enchantment details.
