Using EMI to Look Up Brewery and Herbal Brews Recipes

Finding Brewing Recipes

Brewery and Herbal Brews use their own crafting stations rather than a vanilla brewing stand. With EMI Compat installed, those recipes are exposed to EMI's recipe viewer.

1. Open EMI and search for the drink or brew you want to make.

2. Click the item to open its recipe page.

3. Use the arrow buttons or the recipe category tabs to switch between recipe types until you find the brewing entry.

4. Read the displayed inputs — EMI shows the ingredients and any container or processing item the recipe expects.

Reading the Recipe Layout

Brewing-style recipes in EMI typically show the ingredients and the vessel or station involved. Because these are custom recipe types, the layout may not look like a vanilla crafting grid. Treat the slots shown as "what goes in" and the output as "what you get." If a recipe shows a processing step rather than a grid, that means the station handles the transformation over time rather than instantly.

Practical Tips

  • Use EMI's search by ingredient: hover an ingredient and press the recipe key to see everything it can make.
  • If a brew recipe references a mod you haven't installed, the recipe won't appear — install the matching Let's Do mod.
  • EMI Compat does not change how brewing works in-world; it only makes the recipes visible and searchable in EMI.
