EMI Compat Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get started with EMI Compat after installing it?
Just launch the game with EMI and EMI Compat installed — there's nothing to configure. Open EMI's recipe screen and search for any Let's Do item or recipe type to see the added recipes appear automatically.
Do I need to install the Let's Do mods for EMI Compat to work?
No. EMI Compat works with only EMI installed, but the recipes it shows are the Let's Do crafting methods, so you'll only see them in-game if the relevant Let's Do mod is also present.
Which Let's Do mods does EMI Compat add recipes for?
It covers Bakery, Beachparty, Brewery, Candlelight, Herbal Brews, Meadow, Vinery, Nether Vinery, and Farm & Charm. Each mod's crafting method becomes browsable in EMI once that mod is installed.
Why can't I find Let's Do recipes in EMI even though the mod is installed?
Make sure both EMI and the specific Let's Do mod are loaded, then reload recipes or restart the game. If a recipe still doesn't appear, check that you're searching the correct recipe category in EMI rather than the item name alone.
How do I look up Brewery or Herbal Brews recipes in EMI?
Open EMI and search for the brewing ingredient or the output drink — the recipe will show under its Let's Do brewing category. You can also click the item and cycle through its recipe tabs to find the brewing method.
Can I see Bakery, Candlelight, and Vinery recipes in EMI the same way as vanilla crafting?
Yes. Once EMI Compat is installed, these mods' crafting methods appear as their own recipe categories in EMI, so you can browse them like any vanilla recipe. Click an item to see which Let's Do method produces it.
Does EMI Compat replace JEI or REI for Let's Do mods?
No, it doesn't replace them — it adds EMI support for Let's Do recipes that previously only worked with JEI or REI. You can run EMI alongside or instead of those, depending on your setup.
Will EMI Compat slow down my game or cause lag?
It's a lightweight compatibility layer, so performance impact is minimal. If you notice lag, it's more likely from the Let's Do mods themselves or from having many recipe viewers loaded at once.
Do I need to install every Let's Do mod for EMI Compat to work?
No — install only the Let's Do mods you actually want to play with. EMI Compat will add recipes for whichever of them are present and skip the rest.
Why do some Let's Do recipes show in EMI but others don't?
Each recipe type comes from its own Let's Do mod, so a missing recipe usually means that specific mod isn't installed or its recipe category isn't loaded. Verify the mod is present and reload EMI's recipe list.
