Troubleshooting Missing Let's Do Recipes in EMI
First Checks
If Let's Do recipes aren't showing in EMI, work through these in order:
1. Verify EMI itself works — search a vanilla item and confirm recipes appear.
2. Verify EMI Compat Mod is installed alongside EMI.
3. Verify the relevant Let's Do content mod is installed. EMI Compat registers recipe *types*, but the recipes themselves come from the content mods.
4. Check that you are looking at the right item — some Let's Do outputs share names with vanilla items, so make sure you clicked the modded variant.
Common Causes
- Only EMI installed: EMI Compat alone adds no items or recipes. You need at least one Let's Do mod for anything to display.
- Recipe type not mapped: EMI Compat covers many Let's Do crafting methods, but if a specific method isn't bridged yet, its recipes won't appear even with the mod installed.
- Mod not loaded: A missing dependency or a disabled mod means its recipes don't exist in the game at all.
When It Works Correctly
You should see extra recipe categories in EMI's sidebar beyond vanilla ones, and searching a Let's Do item should return its production method. If categories appear but are empty, the content mod is missing. If no extra categories appear at all, EMI Compat is likely not loaded or not detected by EMI. Restart the game after changing mods so EMI rebuilds its recipe index.
