Plan Long-Distance Travel Without Running Out of Flight Time

Calculate Your Flight Capacity

Before embarking on major expeditions, use the flight duration tooltip to ensure your elytra can handle the journey.

Steps:

1. Check your elytra's remaining flight time via the tooltip

2. Estimate the distance you need to travel

3. Account for the fact that efficient gliding uses less durability than constant climbing

4. If uncertain, plan waypoints or landing spots along your route

5. Bring repair materials or a backup elytra for safety

Optimize Your Flight Path

Knowing your elytra's limitations helps you:

• Choose efficient routes that minimize unnecessary flight time
• Identify safe landing zones before you need them
• Avoid flying over dangerous terrain when durability is low
• Plan return trips with adequate flight time remaining

This mod transforms elytra travel from a guessing game into a calculated decision. Instead of hoping your elytra lasts long enough, you can confidently plan expeditions knowing exactly how much flight time you have available. This is especially valuable when traveling to distant biomes, exploring the Nether, or conducting long-range base-to-base trips.
