Choose Between Dark Aspect and Light Aspect for Your Sword

Understanding the Day/Night Trade-off

Both Dark Aspect and Light Aspect boost your weapon's damage based on time of day, but they work oppositely. Dark Aspect strengthens your sword at night and during thunderstorms, while Light Aspect does the same during daylight. The trade-off: whichever you choose will take extra durability damage during the opposite time period.

How to Decide

Choose Dark Aspect if:

• You do most of your combat at night or in caves
• You want an advantage during thunderstorms
• You're willing to repair more frequently during daytime

Choose Light Aspect if:

• You prefer daytime exploration and combat
• You want consistent damage when the sun is up
• You don't mind extra wear during nights

Important Note

You cannot apply both enchantments to the same weapon—they are incompatible. Plan your enchantment strategy before committing. If you're building a versatile loadout, consider crafting two swords: one for each aspect. This lets you swap weapons based on the time of day and maximize your effectiveness throughout your playthrough.
