Elemental Enchantments Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I get elemental enchantments?
Elemental enchantments can be applied to tools and armor using an enchanting table or anvil, just like vanilla enchantments. Most are not treasure-only, so you can find them through normal enchanting.
Can I put Fire Aspect and Frost Aspect on the same sword?
No, Fire Aspect and Frost Aspect are incompatible and cannot be combined on the same weapon. You'll need to choose one or the other.
What's the difference between Dark Aspect and Light Aspect?
Dark Aspect boosts damage at night and during thunderstorms but takes extra durability damage during the day, while Light Aspect does the opposite—boosting damage by day but taking durability damage at night and in storms.
Does Wind Aspect work like Knockback?
Wind Aspect pulls attacked entities toward you instead of pushing them away, making it different from the standard Knockback enchantment. Curse of the Wind, however, is incompatible with Knockback and cancels all damage dealt.
What happens if I wear armor with Curse of Never-ending Fire while already on fire?
The fire effect will never extinguish naturally—you'll need to use water or other methods to put it out. This curse is incompatible with Curse of Never-ending Freezing and Curse of Lightning.
Can I use Lightning Aspect on a crossbow?
Yes, Lightning Aspect works on both bows and crossbows, making projectiles shoot faster. However, it's incompatible with Quick Charge and Curse of Earth.
What does Curse of Darkness do besides boost nighttime damage?
Curse of Darkness has a secret effect in addition to boosting damage taken at night and during thunderstorms—you'll need to discover it yourself through experimentation.
Can I combine Earth Aspect with Wind Aspect on a sword?
No, Earth Aspect and Wind Aspect are incompatible. Earth Aspect also conflicts with Fire Aspect and Frost Aspect, so your sword can only have one of these four.
Does Curse of the Wind prevent all damage or just knockback?
Curse of the Wind cancels any damage dealt by the weapon entirely while dealing massive knockback instead, making it unsuitable for actual combat damage.
How do I protect myself from nighttime damage without using curses?
Equip Light Aspect on your sword or axe to boost your damage output at night, or use armor with Curse of Light if you want to take increased damage during the day instead—the choice depends on your playstyle.
