Using a Channeling Mace for Mob Farming

Farm Design Considerations

Channeling maces work best in mob farms that operate during thunderstorms. Since the enchantment only functions in storms, your farm won't produce lightning strikes during clear weather. Consider building your farm in an open area where thunderstorms naturally occur, or use it as a secondary damage method alongside other farm mechanics.

Fall Damage Integration

Design your farm so mobs fall at least 1.5 blocks before reaching the kill zone. This naturally generates the fall distance needed to trigger lightning strikes. Combine this with your mace attacks to deal both fall damage and lightning damage to mobs.

Efficiency Tips

Since Channeling only works during thunderstorms, use your farm primarily during these weather conditions for maximum effectiveness. You can still use the mace as a regular weapon outside storms, but you won't get the lightning benefit. Consider pairing your Channeling mace with other enchantments that work regardless of weather for consistent farm output.
