Eldritch Mobs Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I know if a mob is an Eldritch mob?
Eldritch mobs are visually distinct — they usually have a colored name tag, particle effects, or a glowing aura that regular mobs don't have. If you see a mob with a special name or unusual visual effects, treat it as Eldritch until proven otherwise.
Do Eldritch mobs spawn naturally or do I need to do something?
They spawn naturally in place of regular hostile mobs, but only with a small chance. You don't need to trigger anything — just play normally and they'll appear over time, though you can adjust the spawn chance in the config if you want them more or less often.
What are modifiers and how do they work?
Modifiers are special roles like Berserker, Alchemist, or Toxic that an Eldritch mob can have, each granting unique abilities and effects. A single mob can have multiple modifiers, which stack their effects and make the fight much harder.
Can Eldritch mobs have more than one modifier at once?
Yes, Eldritch mobs can roll multiple modifiers, and the more they have, the more dangerous they become. A mob with several modifiers is usually worth avoiding unless you're well-geared and prepared.
Why did a zombie suddenly have way more health than normal?
That's an Eldritch variant — they can spawn with significantly boosted health pools compared to regular mobs. The health bonus scales with the mob's tier, so some variants are far tankier than others.
How do I deal with a Berserker Eldritch mob?
Berserkers hit much harder than normal, so avoid trading hits and use ranged attacks or terrain to your advantage. Keep your distance, use shields or blocks, and don't let it corner you.
What does the Toxic modifier do?
Toxic Eldritch mobs apply poison or similar debuffs when they hit you or when you're near them. Bring milk or antidote items and avoid prolonged contact.
Do Eldritch bosses drop better loot?
Yes, Eldritch boss mobs typically drop more loot and grant significantly more experience than their regular counterparts. The exact amounts vary, but the reward is usually worth the risk if you can handle the fight.
Can I change how often Eldritch mobs spawn?
Yes, the mod includes a config file where you can adjust spawn rates and difficulty settings. Check the config to fine-tune how frequently these mobs appear in your world.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
Performance impact is usually minimal since Eldritch mobs are just modified versions of existing mobs, but having many modifiers active at once can add some overhead. If you notice lag, try reducing spawn rates in the config.
