How to Randomize Block Textures While Building with the Randomizer Tool

The Randomizer Tool lets you break up repetitive builds by swapping in a random block from a set you define, instead of placing the same block over and over.

Setting Up the Randomizer

1. Craft or obtain the Randomizer Tool and hold it in your main hand.

2. Open its configuration screen (usually via a keybind or by right-clicking while sneaking, depending on your setup).

3. Add the blocks you want it to choose from. For example, if you are building a stone wall, add several stone variants so the wall looks naturally varied.

4. Confirm the list, then place blocks normally. Each placement pulls a random entry from your list.

Using It Effectively

  • Keep your randomizer list small and visually similar. Mixing wildly different blocks looks chaotic rather than natural.
  • Combine the tool with the mod's other building modes so you can randomize across a whole wall or floor at once, not just single blocks.
  • If a build looks too noisy, remove the most contrasting block from the list and rebuild that section.

Because the tool draws from whatever you configure, the exact block set is entirely up to you — there are no fixed presets to memorize.
