How to Maximize Gem Drops from Gem Zombies

Gem Zombies always drop Effect Gems when killed, and they have a chance to also drop pearls. To maximize your gem collection, you need to kill as many Gem Zombies as possible.

Efficient Farming Strategy

1. Use a spawner farm if available—this is the fastest method since zombies spawn continuously in darkness

2. Kill with any weapon or method—the gem drops regardless of how the zombie dies

3. Collect drops quickly to prevent them from despawning

4. Stay in the area to keep chunks loaded and spawning active

5. Create multiple farms in different locations to increase overall gem production

Gathering Pearls

While farming gems, you'll occasionally receive pearls as bonus drops. These are rarer than gems but worth collecting. The more Gem Zombies you kill, the more pearls you'll accumulate over time. Consider building an automated collection system with hoppers and chests to streamline the process and focus on keeping the farm running.
