How do I set up a shop for the first time?
Use /shopadmin add to add items to your store. You'll need the economyshop999.admin permission, and items must exist in your server (use /customitem add for special items with custom names or lore). Once items are added, players can open the shop with /shop and browse by category.
What's the difference between buy price and sell price?
The buy price is what players pay to purchase an item from the shop; the sell price is what the shop pays players when they sell items back. You can set these independently for each item, so you could buy something for 100 coins but only sell it back for 80 coins.
How do I add a custom item to the shop?
Hold the custom item in your hand and type /customitem add to register it with the plugin. After registration, use /shopadmin add to add it to a shop category with buy and sell prices.
Can I give VIP players a discount?
Yes—assign the economyshop999.discount.vip permission to VIP players, and they'll automatically see reduced prices in the shop. You configure the discount amount in the plugin settings.
How does dynamic pricing work?
The plugin tracks how often items are bought and sold; prices adjust automatically based on demand so that popular items become more expensive and unpopular items become cheaper. This encourages players to diversify their trading.
What does /shop sellall do?
/shop sellall instantly sells every item in your inventory that the shop accepts, without opening a menu. This is useful for quickly clearing your bags, but only items configured as sellable will be processed.
Can players steal items from the shop menu?
No—the plugin has built-in protection that prevents items from being removed from the shop interface without completing a purchase. Players must have enough money and confirm the transaction.
How does the wishlist feature work?
Type /shop wishlist to add an item to your tracking list. The plugin will notify you when that item's price drops, so you can buy it at a better deal.
Can I restrict which categories players can access?
Yes—use the economyshop999.category. permission to control which shop sections specific players or groups can see. Players without the permission won't see restricted categories in the menu.
How do I check an item's current buy and sell price?
Type /shop price in chat to see both the buy and sell prices for that item. This is useful if you're unsure whether a deal is worth it before opening the shop menu.
