Prevent Trade Lockouts and Keep Villagers Active

Understanding Lockouts

When all of a villager's trades are exhausted simultaneously, they lock completely until they restock. This mod reduces lockouts by restocking individual trades as you use their pairs.

Staying Productive

1. Rotate between trades actively—don't spam one trade repeatedly. Use a sell trade, switch to its buy trade, then move to another trade pair.

2. Spread usage across multiple villagers to avoid hitting the lockout threshold on any single one.

3. Plan for level-ups: When a villager levels up, all trades restock at once. Use this window to cycle through multiple profitable exchanges before prices adjust.

4. Enable enable_villager_levelup_while_trading if available in your config—this lets villagers level up even during active trading sessions, maintaining constant access to fresh trades.

5. Monitor trade availability and switch villagers before hitting a full lockout. The mod makes this easier than vanilla, but planning ahead saves time.

With smart rotation, you'll rarely face complete trade lockouts.
