Maximize Profit from a Single Villager

Understanding Trade Rotation

The mod's core mechanic lets you use multiple trades from one villager without needing duplicates. When you exhaust a sell trade (the one where you give items), the villager restocks the corresponding buy trade, and vice versa.

Strategy for Profit

1. Identify high-value trades on your target villager—look for trades that give you rare or valuable items.

2. Alternate between complementary trades: Use a sell trade until it locks, then switch to its paired buy trade. This keeps the villager active without waiting for a full restock.

3. Monitor price changes as you trade repeatedly. Prices adjust based on the villager_trade_adjust_balance setting; frequent trades will make that trade more expensive.

4. Level up the villager by completing trades. When they level up, all trades restock at once, giving you a fresh opportunity to cycle through multiple profitable exchanges.

5. Use reputation adjustments (if enabled) strategically—curing zombie villagers improves prices, while harming them increases costs.

This approach means one well-chosen villager can sustain your resource needs far longer than traditional trading.
