Use Sonar Pulse for Large-Scale Ore Detection

Preparing for Sonar

The Sonar Pulse is a powerful wide-range scan that reveals all nearby ores at once, but it requires Echo Shards to activate.

Setup:

1. Collect Echo Shards and keep them in your inventory

2. Open the mod's configuration menu and check your Sonar Settings

3. Note the scan radius and cooldown timer

4. Verify the shard cost per pulse

Triggering the Scan

1. Position yourself in an area you want to scan (caves, mining chambers, or dangerous Nether regions)

2. Press V (or your configured sonar key) to fire the pulse

3. One Echo Shard will be consumed from your inventory

4. All nearby ore blocks—both overworld and modded ores—will glow simultaneously

5.

Pro Tips

Sonar is most effective in prepared mining areas where you can see multiple directions at once. Use it before starting a major excavation to plan your route. In the Nether, Sonar helps you spot Ancient Debris and Nether Gold through dangerous terrain without exposing yourself to lava or mobs.
