How do I start using Echo Pickaxe?
Simply hold any supported pickaxe and mine an ore block—the mod will automatically send out an echo wave that highlights matching ores hidden in nearby walls. You don't need to craft or equip anything for the basic echo wave to work.
What's the difference between the echo wave and sonar pulse?
The echo wave triggers automatically when you mine an ore block and only highlights that specific ore type nearby. The sonar pulse is a wider scan you activate manually by pressing V, which reveals all ore types in a large area at once, but costs one Echo Shard per use.
Where do I get Echo Shards?
Echo Shards are found naturally in your world; keep them in your inventory to enable the sonar pulse ability. The mod description doesn't specify exact locations, so check your world or consult mod-specific resource guides for spawn rates.
Can I use this mod with modded ores?
Yes, the mod works with any modded ore that uses standard Minecraft tag systems. If a modded ore doesn't highlight, it may use a non-standard tag system that isn't compatible.
Why aren't my ores highlighting when I mine?
Check that your pickaxe tier meets the Pickaxe Whitelist requirements in the config, and verify that specific ore type isn't toggled off in the Ore Toggle settings. If you're using the sonar pulse, make sure you have an Echo Shard in your inventory.
