How to Turn Eating Animations On or Off in Your Inventory Screen
The Eating Animation mod shows your character chewing food both in the world and inside the inventory GUI. Some players love seeing the animation while browsing items; others find it distracting. You can toggle the inventory-screen animation independently of the world animation.
Finding the Config
Open the mod's config file, which lives in your Minecraft config folder and is named after the mod. You can also reach the in-game config screen if your mod loader provides one (for example, through the Mods menu on Fabric or the Mod List on Forge/NeoForge). Look for an option whose name references the inventory or GUI animation.
Toggling the Setting
1. Set the inventory animation option to false to stop your character from animating while the inventory is open.
2. Leave it true if you want the munching to appear there too.
3. Save the config and return to the game. If you edited the file directly, restart the client so the change loads.
The world-eating animation is controlled separately, so disabling the inventory one will not remove the chewing you see while holding food in your hand. Test by opening your inventory with food selected to confirm the change took effect.
