How to Get Eating Animations Working for Food From Other Mods

One of the mod's selling points is that its animations apply to all food items, including ones added by other mods. In practice this usually works automatically, but there are situations where a modded food does not animate and you want to fix it.

Why It Usually Just Works

The mod hooks into the eating action itself rather than hardcoding a list of vanilla foods. Because of that, any item that uses the standard eating behaviour will trigger the munching animation without extra setup. Install the mod alongside your food mods and eat something to confirm.

When a Modded Food Does Not Animate

1. Check whether the food is actually eaten with the normal eating action. Some mods use custom right-click logic that bypasses it, and those will not animate.

2. Confirm the item is registered as food in that mod, not consumed through a scripted effect.

3. If the food has its own custom model, the mod may need a matching eating model for it. Provide one using the example models as a base.

4. Make sure no other mod is overriding the eating animation or first-person hand rendering.

If a specific food still refuses to animate after these checks, it is most likely using non-standard consumption code rather than a problem with your setup.
