How to Open the EasyLAN Configuration Screen for Your LAN World
Starting a LAN World First
EasyLAN does not create a server on its own — it hooks into the vanilla LAN server feature. So the very first step is to load your singleplayer world and open the pause menu, then choose Open to LAN. In vanilla Minecraft this immediately starts a LAN server with default settings; with EasyLAN installed, that same action instead routes you into the mod's configuration screen before the server actually starts accepting players.
Working Through the Config Screen
Once the configuration screen appears, you will see grouped options rather than the single vanilla prompt. Typical groups include:
- Custom settings such as port, max players, and MOTD
- Server Basic Settings such as PVP, online mode, animal spawning, NPC spawning, and flight
- Server Command Support for whitelist and ban commands
Set each value you care about, then confirm. The LAN server launches with those values applied for that session. If you close the world and reopen it later, you will go through the screen again — settings are configured per LAN session, not baked permanently into the world. If you only want to change one thing (for example the MOTD), you can leave everything else at its default and just edit that field.
