How to Farm Glow Shrooms and Glow Shroom Caps

Finding and Planting Glow Shrooms

Glow shrooms are the mod's glowing fungal blocks. You can place a Glow Shroom on valid ground and let it spread or grow into a larger structure. They emit light, so they work well as natural lamps in caves, gardens, and builds where you want soft illumination without torches.

Harvesting Caps

Glow Shroom Caps are the harvestable top portion. Once a shroom matures, break or harvest the cap to collect it. You can then replant caps or shrooms to start new growth. Because they glow, a cluster of shrooms can light a room on its own — plant several in a row to create a lit path or a glowing ceiling.

Building a Glow Garden

Choose a shaded or enclosed area and plant shrooms in a grid with a few blocks between them so each can expand. Use caps as accent blocks on walls or floors. If growth stalls, add space and check light levels; even though they glow, they still follow normal growth rules. Harvest only the caps you need and leave the base shroom in place so it regrows, giving you a renewable light source.
