Use the Increased Spawn Cap to Your Advantage

Dusk Mod's higher monster spawn rate during night creates opportunities for mob farming:

• Build a mob grinder or farm in a dark area away from your base
• The increased spawn cap means more mobs will naturally accumulate in unlit spaces
• Position yourself at the farm during night to maximize mob flow
• Collect drops (experience, loot) as mobs spawn at higher rates

Optimize Your Farm Design

• Ensure the farm is completely dark to encourage spawning
• Use water channels or fall damage to concentrate mobs
• Light up all nearby areas outside the farm to prevent spawns elsewhere and funnel mobs to your farm
• Consider building your farm at a distance from your base to avoid the increased night spawns affecting your shelter

Time Your Farming

The spawn cap peaks around midnight, then decreases toward dawn:

• Farm during the peak hours for maximum efficiency
• Return to your base before dawn when spawn rates normalize
• If your server allows sleeping, skip the night after farming to reset the spawn cap for the next cycle
