Configuring the Low-Durability Audio Warning So You Never Break a Tool

The mod can play a sound when an item is about to break, which is far more reliable than watching the numbers during combat or mining.

Finding the Warning Settings

Open the mod's config screen and locate the section for warnings, sounds, or durability thresholds. You will typically find a toggle to enable the audio warning and a field or slider that sets the durability level at which it triggers. Set the threshold to a value you can react to: high enough that you still have time to swap tools or apply Mending, but not so high that it fires constantly while you are simply using a nearly full tool. If the config offers separate thresholds per item type or per slot, tune the weapon and pickaxe values first, since those break most often.

Testing It

Enter a world and deliberately wear an item down to just above your chosen threshold, then keep using it. Confirm the sound plays at the right moment and that it is audible over your other game sounds. If it is too quiet, raise the mod's warning volume or lower your music volume. If the sound is annoying, raise the threshold slightly or disable it for low-value items.
