How to Configure Durability Notifier Settings In-Game
The Durability Notifier mod is fully configurable through an in-game menu, so you never have to edit config files by hand. This guide walks you through opening the menu and adjusting each option.
Opening the Configuration Menu
Open the mod's configuration screen from the in-game mod list or the mod menu button, depending on your mod loader. Once inside, you will see the individual toggles and sliders described below. Changes apply immediately, so you can test them without restarting the game.
Adjusting Each Option
- Percentage – a slider between 1 and 100 that sets the durability threshold the mod watches for. Lower values mean you only get notified when the tool is nearly dead; higher values warn you earlier. The default is 10.
- PlaySound – toggle this on if you want an audible cue when you try to use a tool that has dropped below the threshold. Off by default.
- SendMessage – toggle this on to receive a chat or action bar message when the tool is low. Off by default.
- GiveFatigue – toggle this on to receive Mining Fatigue when the tool reaches its limit, preventing accidental breakage. Off by default. Note this only works on servers that allow the effect; it will not function on a vanilla server.
Set the options to match your play style, then close the menu. Your choices are saved automatically.
