Switch Between Camera Modes and Find the Best Angle for Your Playstyle

Accessing Camera Mode Settings

The Dungeons Perspective Mod offers multiple camera perspectives to suit different playstyles. Open your mod settings to find camera mode options. You can toggle between the isometric overhead view, orthogonal (flat, depth-removed) perspective, and standard first-person if needed.

Adjusting Pitch and Rotation

Once in overhead mode, use your mouse or analog stick to rotate the camera a full 360 degrees around your character. The mod lets you change the camera pitch angle—this controls how steep or shallow your viewing angle is. Experiment with different pitch values to match classic dungeon crawler styles you prefer, whether that's a steep top-down look or a more angled isometric view.

Fine-Tuning Zoom Distance

Adjust your zoom distance in the settings to pull the camera closer for detailed combat or push it back for a wider battlefield view. A closer zoom helps when fighting single tough enemies; a wider zoom lets you spot incoming monster waves before they reach you. Test different distances in safe areas first to find what feels comfortable for exploration and combat.
