Dungeons Perspective Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I turn on the top-down camera?
Open your mod settings or press the designated keybind to switch camera modes. Once activated, your view will shift to an overhead isometric perspective centered on your character.
Why can't I see through walls and ceilings?
Block culling is enabled by default to keep your character visible indoors. If you want to see more of the environment, you can adjust the culling distance or camera pitch angle in the settings to find a better viewing angle.
How do I rotate the camera around my character?
Use your mouse to freely rotate the camera in a full 360-degree circle around your player, or use your analog stick if you're playing with a controller. The camera stays locked on your character while you control the angle.
What does the highlight/targeter do?
The targeter highlights blocks and mobs under your mouse cursor to help you aim accurately. In controller mode, it also enables auto-targeting for nearby enemies during combat.
How do I interact with chests and NPCs in this view?
Move your mouse cursor over the object you want to interact with until it's highlighted, then press G to open chests, doors, or talk to villagers.
Does this mod work with combat mods?
Yes, the mod is designed to work alongside visual and magic combat mods without causing camera glitches or conflicts.
Can I zoom in and out?
Yes, you can adjust your zoom distance in the settings to pull the camera closer to your character for detail or push it back for a wider view of the battlefield.
How do I ride horses smoothly with this camera?
The mod includes decoupled steering mechanics that separate your camera rotation from your horse's movement direction, so you can look around while riding without losing control.
What's the difference between isometric and orthogonal camera modes?
Isometric mode gives your world depth and perspective like classic dungeon crawlers, while orthogonal mode removes depth for a completely flat, 2D-style view.
Does this mod affect my performance?
The mod uses block culling to hide unnecessary geometry, which can actually improve performance in some cases, though results depend on your hardware and other mods installed.
