How to Survive the Evoker and Illager Mobs Inside the Manor

Prepare Before Entering

Illager Manors are far more dangerous than a typical structure. Stock up on golden apples, healing potions, and a shield before you go in. Wear your best armor and bring a strong sword plus a bow for picking off Pillagers at range. Because the manor is sprawling, you cannot easily flee once deep inside, so preparation matters more than reflexes.

Fighting the Evoker

Every Illager Manor guarantees at least one Evoker spawn. Its Vexes fly through walls and ignore terrain, so cornering it in a small room is risky. Fight it in a larger space where you can see Vexes coming, and kill them quickly since they are fragile. Watch the ground for Evoker Fangs — they telegraph briefly before erupting, so keep moving sideways rather than backing into a wall. A shield blocks fang damage, and ranged attacks let you chip it down from a distance.

Managing the Crowd

Vindicators hit hard in melee, so never let several surround you. Use doorways and corridors as chokepoints to fight them one at a time. Pillagers shoot from range, so close distance or use cover. Clear rooms methodically and retreat to a secured area to heal rather than pushing forward at low health.
