How to Loot the Illager Manor Efficiently
Prioritize the High-Value Rooms
An Illager Manor contains many small, medium, and large rooms, so a full sweep takes time. Focus first on map rooms — these can contain maps leading to Pillager Outposts or Ancient Cities, which are far more valuable than ordinary chest loot. Clear these rooms early so you can decide whether to pursue the maps afterward.
Work through the structure room by room and mark cleared areas with torches or blocks so you do not backtrack. Large rooms tend to hold the better chests, while small rooms are quicker to check and clear. Keep your inventory organized because the loot volume is high.
Handle Threats Before Looting
Do not open chests while mobs are still active around you. Deal with Vindicators and Pillagers first, and be ready for the guaranteed Evoker — its Vexes and fangs can catch you off guard in tight corridors. Once a room is clear, loot it fully, then move on. The attic is packed with decorations and cobwebs; cobwebs slow you down and hide mobs, so break them as you go. Remember the basement holds jail cells with Allays, Villagers, and an Iron Golem — free the Allays if you want them as allies, and decide carefully whether releasing the Iron Golem helps or hinders your escape.
