How to Find and Enter a Trident Trial Monument

Locating the Structure

Vanilla Ocean Monuments no longer generate with this data pack, so any Ocean Explorer Map you find will point you toward a Trident Trial Monument instead. Use the map the same way you would normally: hold it, follow the marker, and it will lead you to the structure. If you prefer commands, /locate structure minecraft:monument still works because the pack redirects that ID, and /locate structure nova_structures:trident_trail_monument targets the new structure directly.

Getting Inside Safely

A Trident Trial Monument is a large central monument ringed by eight smaller ones, all linked by glass bridges. Approach from above or from the side rather than swimming straight into the central mass, since Trial Spawners inside will activate when you get close. Bring Water Breathing potions, a helmet with Respiration, and Depth Strider boots. The glass bridges are a good staging ground: you can see into the smaller monuments and pick which one to clear first. Expect Guardians, Drowned, and Elder Guardians to be summoned by the spawners rather than spawning naturally, so the water around the structure is calmer than a vanilla monument until you trigger a fight.

Before You Commit

Clear one small monument at a time instead of diving into the center. Each cleared spawner gives you a foothold and a place to retreat to when the central monument's defenders notice you.
