How do I find a Trident Trial Monument?
Use an Ocean Explorer Map or run /locate structure nova_structures:trident_trail_monument. The vanilla /locate structure minecraft:monument command will also point you to one, since it replaces vanilla monuments.
Why aren't any Guardians spawning around my Ocean Monument?
This data pack removes natural Guardian spawns entirely. The only Guardians you'll fight are the ones summoned by Trial Spawners, plus the two pre-spawned Elder Guardians.
How many Elder Guardians are there and do they respawn?
Two Elder Guardians are pre-spawned in the monument and they do not respawn once killed. Don't expect the vanilla three-Elder-Guardian mining fatigue setup.
How do Trial Spawners work in the Trident Trial Monument?
Trial Spawners summon waves of Guardians, Drowned, and Elder Guardians when you approach or activate them. Defeating a spawner rewards loot, sometimes including Water Breathing potions, and can drop Trident Trial Keys.
What are Trident Trial Keys used for?
Trident Trial Keys are dropped by Trial Spawners and are used to unlock loot within the monument. Collect them from defeated spawners before moving on to the reward areas.
What's the layout of the Trident Trial Monument?
It's a large central monument surrounded by eight smaller monuments, all connected by glass bridges. You'll need to traverse the bridges to reach each section.
Do I need Water Breathing potions to survive the monument?
Yes, bring plenty of Water Breathing potions and gear. Some Trial Spawner loot includes Water Breathing potions, but don't rely on drops to keep you alive during the fights.
Can I still get the vanilla Ocean Monument achievements or loot?
The data pack removes all vanilla Ocean Monuments and replaces them with Trident Trial Monuments, so vanilla monument-specific behavior no longer applies. Loot and rewards come from the new Trial Spawner system instead.
Is this data pack compatible with other structure or ocean mods?
It replaces vanilla Ocean Monuments, so mods or data packs that also modify or add to vanilla monuments may conflict. Check whether other packs touch minecraft:monument before combining them.
Will the Trident Trial Monument cause lag or performance issues?
The structure is large with many connected sections and active Trial Spawners, so expect heavier load than a vanilla monument, especially during fights. Lowering render distance or avoiding loading multiple monuments at once helps.
