How to Loot the Jungle Village and Find Suspicious Gravel
The Village Around the Ruin
Overhauled Jungle Ruins are wrapped in a custom jungle village with unique house designs. These are not standard villager houses — they are built to hide loot. Before you dive into the temple, sweep the village because it is far safer and often holds the supplies you need for the main structure.
What to Look For
- Suspicious gravel: Several village houses contain suspicious gravel. Bring a brush and carefully brush each patch — brushing yields buried treasure, and brushing too fast or breaking the block destroys the loot. Clear the gravel block by block.
- Workstations: The houses contain workstations, which means villagers may live here. You can use these to set up trades or to identify what profession each house was built around.
- Chests and storage: Search every house interior, including under floors and behind walls, for chests with food, tools, and building materials.
Practical Tips
- Clear hostiles first — Bogged and Zombies wander the village too.
- Mark houses you have already looted so you do not double-check them in the maze of jungle foliage.
- Collect the suspicious gravel loot before entering the temple; the brush and any supplies you find will help you survive the traps and labyrinth inside.
Treat the village as your staging area: loot it, then push into the ruin.
