How to Use Drop The Meat as a Food Source in Survival
Turning drops into a diet
Drop The Meat makes almost every mob edible, which means you rarely go hungry if you are willing to hunt. The key is knowing which drops are already cooked and which need processing.
Steps
1. Early game, kill passive mobs like villagers, cats, foxes, and frogs for quick cooked or raw drops. Cooked drops can be eaten immediately.
2. Build a smoker and a chest near your base to process and store raw drops such as Raw Bear, Raw Camel, and Raw Horse.
3. Mid game, set up breeding pens for camels, horses, llamas, goats, and wolves so you have a renewable meat supply without hunting wild mobs.
4. In the Nether, kill piglins for Piglin Porkchop and cook it, and pick up Cooked Monster Meat from hostile mobs as travel food.
5. Keep a stack of ready-to-eat cooked meat in your hotbar whenever you explore.
Practical tips
Cooked drops are your best emergency food because they need no furnace. Raw drops are better saved and cooked in bulk. Avoid killing villagers in a village you rely on for trading, since you will lose the trades along with gaining the meat.
