How to Farm Meat from Passive and Aquatic Mobs
Which mobs to target
Drop The Meat adds edible drops to many creatures that normally give nothing: axolotls, bats, bees, camels, cats, dolphins, foxes, frogs, goats, horses, llamas, parrots, squid, turtles, wolves, and more. Several of these are aquatic or flying, so a normal mob farm will not catch them.
Steps
1. For land animals like camels, horses, llamas, goats, foxes, and wolves, build a fenced pen and breed them with their normal breeding food so you have a renewable supply.
2. For bees, set up a hive area and be careful — killing bees angers the swarm, so use a ranged weapon or smoke them first.
3. For aquatic mobs like axolotls, dolphins, squid, and turtles, fish or hunt in oceans and rivers. Squid are common and drop Cooked Squid.
4. For bats, search caves at night; they are small and fast, so a bow helps.
5. Collect the cooked drops and store them in a chest near your kitchen.
Practical tips
Breeding pens give you a steady, safe supply without hunting. Aquatic mobs are best farmed near water you already visit, so you do not make special trips. Always bring a weapon that can hit small, fast targets.
