How to Cook Raw Drops into Edible Meat

Many mobs drop Raw versions of their meat — Raw Allay, Raw Axolotl, Raw Bat, Raw Bear, Raw Bee, Raw Camel, Raw Cat, Raw Dolphin, Raw Fox, Raw Frog, and more. Raw meat is generally not safe or worthwhile to eat, so you need to process it.

Steps

1. Collect raw drops by killing the relevant mobs. Axolotls, bats, bees, foxes, frogs, dolphins, and cats are all small and easy to kill.

2. Build or find a furnace, smoker, or campfire. A smoker cooks food faster than a furnace, so use one if you plan to process a lot.

3. Place the raw meat in the top slot and fuel in the bottom slot of a furnace or smoker, or right-click a campfire with the raw item.

Practical tips

Smokers are the best choice for bulk cooking since they are faster. If you have a lot of raw drops from a mob farm, set up a hopper-fed smoker array so you do not have to babysit each item.
