How to Configure Which Mobs Drop Meat

Why configure

Drop The Meat lets you control which mobs drop which meats through its configuration. If you do not want villagers or golems to drop meat, or you want to disable a specific drop, the config is where you change it.

Steps

1. Locate the mod's config file in your instance's config folder. It is created the first time you run the game with the mod installed.

2. Open the config with a plain text editor. Look for entries grouped by mob or by item, such as villager, iron golem, axolotl, and so on.

3. Toggle the drop on or off for each mob, or adjust the relevant setting the config exposes. Save the file.

4. Restart Minecraft so the changes take effect. Config changes are not applied while the game is running.

5. Test by killing the mob in a creative test world and checking whether the drop appears.

Practical tips

Back up the config before editing so you can restore defaults. If a drop still appears after you disable it, confirm you edited the right file and restarted fully. Use a test world to verify changes before applying them to a survival save.
