Drop Confirm Mod Not Working? Troubleshooting the Confirmation Dialog

If items are dropping without any prompt, work through these checks in order.

Check the Config First

The most common cause is simply that the confirmation is turned off, or that the specific protection you expect (lava, void, players) is disabled while the general toggle is on. Open the mod config and confirm both the master toggle and the relevant sub-option are enabled. Save and, if needed, restart the game so the change loads.

Check Where You Are Testing

Some protections only trigger under the right conditions. Void protection will not fire if you are standing on solid ground, and player-drop protection will not fire if no other player is nearby. Test in the exact situation the option is meant to cover: stand at a lava edge, stand over a void gap, or stand next to another player, then press drop.

Conflicts and Overrides

If another mod also handles item dropping or inventory clicks, it can intercept the action before Drop Confirm sees it. Temporarily disable other drop-related or inventory-management mods and test again. On multiplayer, remember the server may override your client settings, so verify in a singleplayer world to isolate whether the problem is local.

If it still fails after all of this, reinstall the mod cleanly and check that it matches your game version.
