Drogstyle Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I set my display name?
Use the command /nick [name] to set your custom display name. For example, /nick Dragon will change your display name to Dragon. To clear it and return to your username, just type /nick with no name after it.
What colors can I use for my name?
Use /color [color] to set your name color. The mod supports standard Minecraft color names like red, blue, green, yellow, and more. Type /color with no color specified to see your current color or reset to default.
How do I add a bio that shows when someone hovers over my name?
Use the /bio [bio text] command to add a personalized bio tooltip. When other players hover over your display name, they'll see your bio. Use /bio alone to clear your bio.
Can I use special characters or spaces in my display name?
Yes, you can include spaces and most special characters in your display name by using /nick [name]. If your name contains multiple words, the entire name will be applied as your display name.
Do my custom name and color settings save if I log out?
Yes, your display name, color, and bio are saved to your player data and will persist when you log back in. You only need to set them once unless you want to change them.
Can other players see my custom display name and bio?
Yes, your custom display name is visible to all players on the server. Your bio tooltip will appear when other players hover over your name in chat or the player list.
What happens if I use a color that doesn't exist?
If you enter an invalid color name, the command will fail and your name color won't change. Stick to standard Minecraft color names to avoid this issue.
Can I have a different display name and actual username?
Yes, that's the whole point of the mod. Your actual Minecraft username stays the same, but your display name (set with /nick) is what appears in chat and above your head to other players.
Does this mod work on multiplayer servers?
This mod works on servers that have it installed. If the server doesn't have Drogstyle Mod, your custom names and colors won't appear to other players, though they may still work on your client.
How do I reset everything back to default?
Type /nick, /color, and /bio with no arguments after each command to clear your display name, color, and bio individually. This will restore your default Minecraft username and appearance.
