Do I need Isle of Berk Mod installed for Dragons of the Cosmos to work?
Yes, Dragons of the Cosmos is an addon that requires Isle of Berk Mod as a dependency. Install Isle of Berk first, then add this mod on top of it.
How do I find dragons with the new Cosmos skins?
The new dragon variants spawn naturally in the same locations as their base dragons—Night Fury variants appear where Night Furies normally spawn, Tropical Reef Nadders spawn with other Deadly Nadders, and so on. They spawn with the same frequency as regular dragons.
Can I choose which skin my dragon has when I tame it?
No, the skin is determined when the dragon spawns in the world. You'll need to find and tame the specific variant you want, or breed two dragons with Cosmos skins to potentially get a variant offspring.
What's the difference between Night Fury and Light Fury variants in this mod?
Night Fury variants (Celestial, Aetherion, Serenyx, Tide Runner, Aurorae) are skins for Night Furies, while Light Fury variants (Luminara, Astrella, Floral Petal) are exclusive skins for Light Furies. They're separate dragon types with their own variant options.
Do the new dragon skins change how dragons behave or their stats?
No, skins are purely cosmetic. A Celestial Night Fury behaves identically to a regular Night Fury—same health, damage, flying speed, and abilities.
Why aren't my dragons spawning with Cosmos skins?
Make sure both Isle of Berk Mod and Dragons of the Cosmos are enabled in your mod list, and that you're looking in the correct biomes where dragons naturally spawn. New variants only appear on freshly spawned dragons, not on dragons that existed before installing the mod.
Can I breed two Cosmos variant dragons together?
Yes, you can breed dragons with Cosmos skins using the same breeding mechanics as regular Isle of Berk dragons. The offspring may inherit one of the parent skins or spawn as a regular variant.
Does this mod work with other dragon mods?
Dragons of the Cosmos is designed specifically for Isle of Berk Mod dragons and shouldn't conflict with other mods, but it won't add skins to dragons from other mods. Test compatibility if you're running multiple dragon mods together.
Are there ocean-themed skins for dragons other than the Nadder and Gronckle?
Yes, the Tide Runner Night Fury variant has ocean patterns, and both Seashell Splash and Coral Splash Gronckle variants are ocean-themed. The Tropical Reef Deadly Nadder is also ocean-inspired.
What happens if I uninstall Dragons of the Cosmos—will my tamed variant dragons disappear?
Your tamed dragons will remain, but they'll revert to their base appearance (regular Night Fury, Light Fury, etc.) since the mod that provides the variant skins is no longer active. Reinstalling the mod will restore their Cosmos skins.
