Enable and Customize Reflections

Locate Reflection Settings

Open the shader options panel and search for reflection-related toggles or sliders. Common names include "Surface Reflections," "Water Reflections," or "Reflection Quality."

Activate Reflections

Enable the reflection feature by toggling it on. This applies smooth reflections to water surfaces and sometimes other reflective blocks. The Mellow base ensures these reflections remain performance-friendly even on older graphics cards.

Adjust Reflection Intensity

If a slider is available, control how prominent reflections appear. Higher values create more visible, realistic reflections; lower values reduce the effect for better frame rates.

Test in Different Environments

Visit bodies of water, wet terrain, or polished blocks to observe the reflection changes. Move your camera to see how reflections respond to angle and lighting. On potato hardware, reflections should still render smoothly without stuttering.

If performance drops, reduce reflection quality or intensity rather than disabling them entirely—the shader is designed to handle reflections efficiently.
