Set Up a Villager Trading Hall with Proper Door Management
Planning Your Trading Hall Layout
When building a trading hall with multiple villagers, the door-closing behavior can affect access and workflow. Plan your design to work with the mod rather than against it.
Design Recommendations
- Use multiple entrance doors: Create separate entry points for you and the villagers. This prevents villagers from closing doors you need to pass through frequently.
- Employ alternative access methods: Use fence gates, trapdoors, or water streams to move villagers into their trading stalls. These alternatives won't trigger the door-closing mechanic.
- Separate zones: Keep villagers in enclosed stalls with their own internal spaces. Use doors only for your own movement between zones, ensuring villagers won't interfere with them.
- Consider open designs: Some traders benefit from open-air stalls without doors, relying on fencing or walls for containment instead.
This setup maintains organization and prevents the frustration of doors being closed while you're actively trading or managing your hall.
