Adjust Depth Map Intensity to Suit Your Preference
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu while in-game. This is typically found in Video Settings under Shaders, then by selecting the shader options button. Look for depth-related sliders or toggles.
Fine-Tune the Depth Effect
The depth map intensity controls how dramatically distant blocks appear different from nearby ones. If the effect feels too strong and makes distant terrain hard to read, reduce the intensity slider. If the depth map effect is too subtle, increase it for more pronounced distance visualization.
Test Different Values
Small adjustments often make a big difference. After changing a setting, walk to high ground or a cliff edge and look across your world. Mountains and valleys should show clear depth separation. Caves viewed from above should display obvious depth layering.
Consider Your Hardware
If you're on older hardware, even small intensity increases can impact frame rate. Start with moderate settings and only push higher if your computer maintains smooth performance. The goal is finding the sweet spot where depth visualization enhances your experience without causing stuttering.
