Inspecting Dimension Configuration

Before cloning or modifying a dimension, you may need to see its current settings. The view command displays the dimension type and chunk generator in use.

Steps

1. Open chat and type /dims view_dim_config <dimension>

2. Replace <dimension> with the ID of the world you want to inspect (e.g., minecraft:overworld)

3. Press Enter

4. The mod displays the dimension type ID and generator settings in chat

What You'll See

• Dimension Type: The core dimension properties (like gravity, sky type, and ambient effects)
• Chunk Generator: The terrain generation algorithm and its parameters

Use Cases

• Verify settings before cloning a dimension
• Confirm a dimension was created with the correct preset
• Troubleshoot generation issues by comparing against a known good configuration
