How to Recycle Diamond Tools into Diamonds

Gathering Your Old Tools

Collect the diamond tools you no longer need. This includes pickaxes, axes, shovels, hoes, and swords. Tools don't need to be in perfect condition—damaged and worn tools recycle just as effectively as new ones.

Crafting the Recipe

Open your crafting table. Arrange seven diamond tools in the crafting grid according to the recipe pattern. The exact layout follows the standard Diamond Recycling recipe—consult your recipe book (press R by default in most setups) to see the visual guide.

Once arranged correctly, a single diamond will appear in the output slot. Collect it and repeat as needed.

Tips for Efficiency

Keep a dedicated storage area for broken tools you plan to recycle. Since you need seven tools per diamond, batch your recycling sessions to save time. This is especially useful after extended mining trips or when upgrading your entire tool set.
