Understanding Absorption Heart Display

Absorption hearts (from golden apples, enchanted golden apples, or absorption effects) render with their own distinct appearance in Dev's Heart Resource Pack:

1. Consume an enchanted golden apple or use an absorption effect

2. Watch your health bar extend with the absorption heart layer

3. These hearts display above or alongside your regular health

4. They appear in the custom style matching your selected pack variant

Distinguishing Health Types

The pack uses visual separation to keep absorption hearts distinct from regular health:

• Regular hearts: Your actual health pool
• Absorption hearts: Temporary shield layer (yellow or alternate color depending on variant)
• Empty hearts: Depleted health slots

This visual hierarchy helps you quickly assess both your true health and temporary protection during combat or exploration. The different colors ensure you never confuse temporary absorption with permanent health loss.
