Activating Hardcore Hearts

Dev's Heart Resource Pack includes special heart designs for Hardcore mode. These appear automatically when playing in Hardcore worlds:

1. Create a new world and select Hardcore mode from difficulty options

2. Load into your Hardcore world

3. Your health bar will display the custom Hardcore heart designs

4. These hearts remain active for the entire world

Understanding Hardcore Heart Visuals

The Hardcore variant uses distinct styling to emphasize the permanent consequences of death. The design differs from standard survival mode to reinforce the high-stakes nature of the mode.

Switching Back

If you load a standard Survival world after playing Hardcore, the regular heart designs automatically return. The pack intelligently switches between modes based on your world type — no manual configuration needed.
